Test the Android app

Boot Stats for Android is in a closed test on Google Play. Google opens an app to everyone only after 12 testers have had it for 14 days. You need an Android phone or tablet and the Google account its Play Store uses. It takes about two minutes.

  1. Join the tester group

Open the group while signed in with the Google account your phone's Play Store uses, and choose Join group. You are in straight away.

    Open the tester group
  2. Become a tester

Open the test page with the same account and choose Become a tester. If it says the app is not available, wait a few minutes after joining the group and open it again.

    Open the test page
  3. Install the app

On the same page choose Download it on Google Play, or search for Boot Stats in the Play Store on your phone, and install it. Updates come through the Play Store like any app.

  4. Stay for 14 days

Keep the app installed and stay in the test for at least 14 days. Open it now and then: follow a team, watch a live game, look at a player. Anything odd, write to valentinn.schuh@gmail.com.

If it does not work

"App not available" almost always means the group and the Play Store use different Google accounts. In the Play Store, tap your profile picture to see which account it uses, join the group with that one, and open the test page again.

To leave the test, open the test page and choose Leave the program. The app stays on your phone until you remove it.

iPhone and iPad

The App Store version is on its way. Until then, everything is on the website.
